Charles N Charge is a concious hip-hop lyricist and street poet from Kirikiriroa. His critically acclaimed show, The Pre Conditioned Hori, tells a deep and raw story of his life growing up as an urban Māori and the many social discourses and stereotypes experienced. "I am of the belief that everything has a whakapapa and this show seeks to give context to many of the things our communities have experienced and continue to see across Aotearoa," he explains. With previous shows in Nelson, Pōneke and Ōtepoti, and after winning Best in Fringe and the Music Award at Ōtepoti Fringe this year, Charles is seeking to bring his stage show to a brand new audience. Nau mai, haere mai.

*Trigger warning: Strong social themes discussed and medium coarse language
