Come along to Whangarei Central Library and meet special guests Actor Tahi Mapp-Borren and Musician Chris O'Connor, for a series of book reading sessions as part of the Whangarei Fringe Festival fun for families.
This is an intimate event across three mornings for families and book lovers of all ages! Join us for some quality time together, and explore stories you don't know yet or relish old favourites told in a new way... By lifting the words and pictures off the page along with you Tahi and Chris will create a unique story reading experience over each session, sharing stories from some of their best loved children's authors.
Catering especially for our young community these gently interactive sessions will bring the world of each book alive through audience participation, live music, and storytelling props or puppets.
What to expect from this book reading session:
• you will experience a book being read out loud
• you will meet the musician and storyteller
• you and your adult will be invited to participate as audience
• your session will be relaxed and multi-sensory
• you are welcome stay for the full 30 minute duration
• you can leave or find a nearby quiet area if you need to
• you will find sessions that celebrate NZSL, Te Reo Māori, and Tauiwi languages
Please contact Whangarei District Libraries or see their website www.wdc.govt.nz/library/ for more information and come along to a session that best suits you!
