BioSignals is an international project sending plant signals between NZ, Philippines and the UK, and researching how to send them into space. This installation is concurrent with others taking place across the world, giving insight into a unique cultural exchange initiative. It will have its world premiere during Whangārei Fringe. BioSignals is funded through the #connectionsthroughculture programme by British Council Phillipines.
It is part of the Strange Intelligences Lab, which will be open to the public during Fringe, celebrating artificial, organic, otherworldly and earthly intelligences. Talks, performances and workshops are included. More information is available via www.awhiworld.com/whangareifringe
